For those who know how hard it can be to be green, this curated collection is for you. <br>Featuring two gorgeous amphibian prints, two stickers (one foil, and one very strong), one wooden pin with a purple rubber back, and one prismatic dragon sticker holding a polyhedral die- because everyone knows that if a frog rolls a natural 20, it may become a dragon. (We cannot provide a citation for this fact, but we feel good about it.) Friends of Frogs: An Exceptionally Green Collection of Art by Artists from Feyrún Tattoo

<p><span>This is a set of two ceramic food and water bowls for pets. They are grey, but they show subtle green shades and a slight pink speckling off to one side. They are hand-sculpted by artists from Múlabær. They are the smaller size available (great for smaller pets), and they are double-fired with food-safe glaze. The food bowl is a "slow-feeder", which prevents the pet from eating too quickly—something that can cause digestive problems and other issues.</span></p><div><br></div><div><b>About the Artists and the Project:</b></div><div>Ríkey Magnúsdóttir Ringsted is a second-year product design student at the Iceland University of the Arts. In the spring of 2023, she worked on a project focused on assistive tools for handicrafts for individuals living with visual impairment. Ríkey emphasised clay modelling and ceramics, as clay is a material that relies on touch and the feeling from the hands.</div><div><br></div><div>Ríkey began working with a diverse group of volunteers who all shared the experience of being significantly visually impaired. They were the first to try something new and to have the opportunity to create despite their visual impairment. This group came from Múlabær, a day centre for the elderly and people living with disabilities.</div><div><br></div><div>The idea for this project initially came from a conversation Ríkey had with her grandmother, Ella Ring (Anna Elín Ringsted). Ella is 99 years old and has very limited vision. She spoke about how much she missed doing handicrafts and how wonderful it would be to still be able to create despite her vision loss. The project was named Ella’s Bowls in honour of Grandma Ella.</div><div><br></div><div>You can read more about the project <a target="_BLANK" href="https://www.ruv.is/frettir/menning-og-daegurmal/2023-10-26-listamenn-med-sjonskerdingu-leira-litrikar-dyramatarskalar-394977">here</a>.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>----</div><div><br></div><div>Ríkey Magnúsdóttir Ringsted er annars árs nemi í vöruhönnun við Listaháskóla Íslands. Hún vann að verkefni vorið 2023 sem einblíndi á hjálpartæki í handavinnu fyrir blinda/sjónskerta einstaklinga. Ríkey lagði áherslu á leirmótun og keramik þar sem leirinn er efniviður sem treystir á snertingu og tilfinningu frá höndunum.</div><div><br></div><div>Ríkey fór að vinna með fjölbreyttum sjálfboðaliðum sem áttu það sameiginlegt að vera verulega sjónskert. Þau voru fyrst í að prófa eitthvað nýtt og að fá að skapa þrátt fyrir sjónskerðingu. Þessi hópur var úr Múlabæ sem er dagþjálfun aldraðra og öryrkja.</div><div><br></div><div>Hugmyndin af þessu verkefni kom upphaflega út frá spjalli sem Ríkey átti við ömmu sína, hana Ellu Ring (Anna Elín Ringsted). Sjálf er hún 99 ára og með mjög takmarkaða sjón. Ella fór að tala um söknuðinn sem hún hefur gagnvart handavinnu og hvað það væri gaman að geta ennþá skapað þrátt fyrir sjónskerðinguna. Verkefnið fékk nafnið Ellu skálar til heiðurs ömmu Ellu.</div><div><br></div><div>Í sameiningu hannaði Ríkey með þessum hóp í Múlabæ vatns- og matarskálar fyrir gæludýr. Skálarnar koma í tveimur stærðum og eru tvíbrenndar með food safe glerungi. Matarskálin er slowfeeder skál sem kemur í veg fyrir að dýrið borði of hratt sem getur valdið meltingartruflunum og öðrum kvillum.</div><div><br></div><p></p>

This print comes with a matching foil sticker, so that you can enjoy your print at home, and on the move.&nbsp;<br><br>Red Spider Lilies, also known as Higanbana in Japan, have many traditional meanings. They can herald the start of autumn, guide the dead into their next reincarnation, or mark the location of an act of martyrdom. Some legends even say that if you see someone whom you may never meet again, these flowers will bloom along the paths you take.
