Woven pipe cleaner sculptureSanta Cruz-based artist Don Porcella is known for his large-scale, figurative sculptures made out of handwoven pipe cleaners. He utilizes humble materials in innovative ways to craft a unique and humorous commentary on the human condition. Harry & Mary Blanchard Art Collection

Graphite on paper24 in x 35 in x 1.5 in (framed)Watsonville-based artist Joshua Moreno worked with the sculptures Adam and Eve in the Rodin Sculpture Garden, which depict the figures after their banishment from the Garden of Eden. Focusing on the shifting movement of natural light across their forms, he traced the shadow of Adam on June 13, 2020, from 2:08–5:50 PM, using graphite on a single sheet of paper. The following day, from 2:43–6:08 PM, he traced the shadow of Eve onto the same sheet.
