For 40 years, HELP USA has worked to ensure that everyone has a place to call home. Serving nearly 600,000 individuals and families since its founding in 1986, the organization has provided shelter for people in crisis, built affordable housing, and strengthened communities through prevention and supportive services. Today, HELP USA addresses the root causes of homelessness at more than 70 sites.

He had a long career as a jazz musician in Chicago &amp; New York before turning to painting full-time in 1987. He currently lives in Sag Harbor. Claude says, “Each painting is like a performance. It takes me where it needs to go.”His work is heavily influenced by East End artists who came before him, notably Jackson Pollock and de Kooning, as well as his black contemporaries like Frank Bowling, Bob Thompson, Jack Whitten, and Al Loving.
