Throughout the 1970s, the Living Theatre performed The Legacy of Cain in several nontraditional venues around the world, from a Pittsburgh steel mill to a Brazilian prison and the streets of Palermo, Italy. These plays were designed not only for a variety of venues, but a variety of audiences, especially those who would otherwise have limited access to theater.The printed version of the poster differs slightly from the pencil mock-up.
